Throughout his career in oral and maxillofacial surgery, Dr. Rocky Cullens has distinguished himself as a dedicated and skilled professional. He entered the field with a doctor of dental surgery rom the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry, where he presented his original research at two national conferences. Dr. Rocky Cullens graduated as recipient of the American Association of Oral Maxillofacial Surgery’s Dental Student Award and subsequently enrolled in the university’s oral and maxillofacial surgery residency, which he completed in 2006.
Dr. Rocky Cullens then entered practice as an associate oral surgeon at River Valley Oral Surgery, in which role he exceeded all production goals and became the practice’s most prolific surgeon for three months of his 12-month tenure. At the same time, he also became a staff surgeon at Sparks Regional Medical Center and St. Edward’s Mercy Medical Center, where he treated private patients as well as patients with level 1 and 2 trauma to the face.
Dr. Rocky Cullens remained on staff at Sparks Medical Center until 2013, during which time he also founded and led a private practice that grew to employ a staff of 12. He now serves as sole oral and maxillofacial surgeon, where he has distinguished himself for the most procedures performed in one year at the facility. Also a continuing education teacher and clinical assistant professor at the University of Oklahoma, Dr. Cullens designs original course and exam material.
